About Psych 4 You
Psych 4 You provides professional counselling and psychological support for individuals, couples, expats, and organisations in Australia and internationally. We offer both in-person and secure online therapy, making high-quality psychological care accessible wherever you are in the world. Our work is grounded in a simple goal: to help people understand themselves, improve their relationships, and navigate life’s transitions with greater clarity, connection, and resilience.
Who We Are
Rod helps individuals and couples create meaningful change, strengthen relationships, and move forward with greater confidence and clarity. His counselling approach combines Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and mindfulness-based practices to provide practical, effective support tailored to each client's unique circumstances.
Rather than focusing solely on problems, he help clients identify their strengths, build on what is already working, and develop realistic strategies for achieving their goals. Using evidence-based CBT techniques, he explores how thoughts, emotions, and behaviours interact, creating opportunities to break unhelpful patterns and develop healthier ways of responding to life's challenges. Mindfulness practices further support this process by increasing self-awareness, emotional balance, and resilience.
For couples, Rod offers a distinctive relationship model called "You, Me, and Us." This approach recognises that thriving relationships are built on three essential foundations: the wellbeing of each partner as an individual, and the health of the relationship itself. By focusing on all three areas, couples can improve communication, deepen emotional connection, resolve conflict more effectively, and create a stronger, more satisfying partnership.
Whether you are navigating anxiety, stress, life transitions, relationship challenges, or seeking personal growth, the goal is to provide a supportive, collaborative environment where you can gain insight, develop practical tools, and create lasting positive change.
Our Work With Individuals, Couples & Organisations
We support clients across three key areas:
Individuals seeking personal growth, emotional support, and clarity
Couples navigating conflict, disconnection, trust issues, or major transitions
Expats and international clients dealing with identity shifts, cultural adjustment, and relationship strain
Organisations seeking to improve leadership, wellbeing, and workplace functioning
Whether you are working through a difficult period or proactively strengthening your wellbeing, we provide structured, practical, and supportive counselling.
Our Special Focus: Expat & Cross-Cultural Relationships
Living abroad can be deeply rewarding—but it can also place significant strain on relationships. We specialise in supporting expat and cross-cultural couples who are navigating:
Cultural differences in communication and expectations
Isolation and loss of familiar support networks
Career imbalance or the “trailing partner” experience
Long-distance periods due to work or visas
Repeated relocation and instability
Identity shifts and questions of belonging
These challenges often create misunderstandings, emotional distance, and recurring conflict—even in strong relationships. Our work provides a safe, structured space to understand these pressures and rebuild connection.

Our Approach
At Psych 4 You, we use a relational framework that focuses on three essential areas:
You
Your individual wellbeing, identity, and emotional needs.
Me
Your partner’s or other person’s individual experience and perspective.
Us
The relationship itself—how you communicate, connect, and navigate life together.
This approach helps couples and individuals move beyond blame and into understanding, clarity, and practical change. Our counselling is collaborative, respectful, and evidence-based. We do not take sides. Instead, we help create space for both perspectives to be heard and understood.
Online Therapy for a Global Lifestyle
We provide online counselling to support clients wherever they are located in the world. Online therapy is especially valuable for expat and internationally mobile clients because it offers:
Flexibility across global time zones
Continuity during relocation or travel
Privacy and comfort in your own environment
Access to consistent English-speaking therapy
This means you can maintain ongoing support even when your life, country, or circumstances change. In-person sessions are also available in Yass, NSW, for local clients.
Who We Work With
Expat couples and internationally mobile families
Cross-cultural and binational relationships
Individuals experiencing relationship or identity challenges
Couples in long-distance relationships
Organisations seeking psychological and workplace support
You do not need to be in crisis to seek support. Many clients come to counselling to strengthen their relationship, improve communication, or prepare for upcoming life transitions.
